Hi Everybody,
I'm finally feeling strong enough to be able to sit at the computer.....at least for a short period of time.
Well...this has been an adventure for sure! The really cool thing is that Billy and I have been able to stay together for the past two weeks. He goes home to Edmonton on Friday....my hero.
Apparently, the operation was "text book" according to the transplant team...from the transplant itself to the rate at which we're both recovering. We both went in with a very positive outlook and it's helped us through a couple of rough spots.
Thad has been by my side for the past couple of weeks and has taken care of me so well. He'll be here for another two weeks and then goes back to Nashville (sigh). I'll be so glad when he moves up.
Thank you all for your messages of encouragement...they have been so greatly appreciated. I'll be able to spend more time in the forum as the days go by and I'm really looking forward to it. It's great to be back!!

that is great news susan,its nice to have family around when you can really yse their support. I'm glad everything went well for your brother and you. Take care rest up and im still working on getting you to peterborough LOL. |

| Susan, thanks for the update. Your family, friends and fans are relieved to know the ordeal is over and you're both doing well. Susan, I'm sure you soon have a full recovery and we're eagerly awaiting your return. In the meantime, we're behind you all the way. |

Great to hear you're recovery and that of Billy is going well. Isn't it wonderful to have such a caring family that will care for you when you most need them? So very glad to hear that you're on the mend and are getting your rest. Please remember to keep your lung capacity full by taking smooth deep breaths -- we can't have your diaphragm becoming overly rigid or tight, which would make singing more challenging. God's speed, Susan. You have a wonderful little brother :-)
