Hi Susan:
I was just looking at the singles/albums that you have released in the past, and I noticed 2 songs on there that I have never heard of!!! The 2 songs were, Nothing Good Comes Easy (1976) and Tell Me About It (1988). Susan, I am shocked that I have never even heard of these 2 songs, as I have been one of your biggest fans since 1975.
I was at your performance in Kits on August 15th, 2009. I couldn't believe they cut your performance short, as your show started 30 minutes late (not your fault) but it was wonderful to see you again. I was also at your concert in Maple Ridge last November.
I hope your brother and mom are doing well.
Take care, Leanne

They apologized for having to cut my set short but I guess, with so many acts to juggle, they had to somehow get back on a schedule. I was just getting into it!! I think everybody ended up giving up a little time.
"Nothing Good Comes Easy" was a song I recorded for CBS records..."Tell Me About It" was a song I co-wrote and released through Bookshop Records back in 1988.
My brother is doing well....and getting stronger every day. Mom is well too....Thanks Libby

Check out Susan's rockin' growly vocals on "Daytime Hustler"...my wife called out from the other room.."that kind of sounds like Susan Jacks"..I said "it is"...only to hear "no way!"
Another rarity, not even on the discography here is one track off a Canadian Xmas CD. Saw it on eBay once, and have never seen it again...maybe you can add some of these rare one-off tracks to the compilation discography for us harcore collectors when you have time Susan. |

Good description! I think there's definite attitude beyond the words that really comes through with "Daytime Hustler". The flip side, "Mr. Vincent's Dancing Class", is one I also really like for the same reason. That's some amazing vocal diversity for one vinyl record!

I would still like to hear the flip side to the Eternal Triangle song that I do not have. :)

In the old, vinyl LP days, there were enough one-off tracks (otherwise known as non-album tracks) by Susan that could've made up an entire album. I definitely think they should be considered for the compilation disc, though maybe the better idea would be having the non-album songs on a disc all their own. Having the non-album tracks on a compilation disc all their own would allow all of those songs to be included, whereas time limitations on a compilation album showcasing songs from Susan's solo albums could possibly restrict the number of non-album songs that could be included.
(Assuming here that songs from Susan's solo albums have a collective run time of 45 to 50 minutes. The non-album tracks have a collective run time of about 35 minutes plus whatever the run time of the song from the Christmas cd happens to be, all the non-album tracks could be included on one compilation disc as long as the collective run time on the album tracks is 45 minutes or under. The more album songs one wants to hear on the compilation disc, the more sense it makes for the non-album tracks to be on their own disc, I think.)

| I would SOOO love to hear Mr. Vincent's Dancing Class again. I haven't heard this song since I would guess, 1985. I really wish I could hear it again. |

Thanks Ron. It's great that you're bringing back these oldies. I'm compiling an audio player with several of Susan's songs that I would like to post to the YouTube thread on this forum. However, I'm waiting until she gets back on her feet before I upload the player.
And I hope you don't mind if I add the .mp3 of this song here for anybody who would like just the audio portion:

| Thanks Ron for posting it on Youtube, it was really nice hearing that song again. They used to play that on the radio in Montreal all the time back then. And, thank you Ted B for posting it as an .mp3. |

Thanks Ron for sending me this classic for posting to Susan's forum. It's great that you still have these grand old songs available for us. I quite enjoyed listening to this one for the first time.
