Susan Jacks - Audio Player
Remember those 6 transistor radios, vinyl 45's and 12" LP's... (never did figure out why one was speed and the other was size). Most of us not only remember, but appreciate now more than ever hearing this music all over again. We all came to love Susan and Terry Jacks as the Poppy Family and especially Susan's solo releases that followed. With Susan's help I've configured an audio player with a collection of her music from the 60's, 70's and 80's.
Thanks to another forum member, Ron Garrison who's been hard at work restoring many of these from vinyl, we now have a significant collection of more than 50 of these great songs. And I would like to build on this by adding to the player if anybody has more of Susan's music they would like to contribute (with Susan's approval of course).
I've also included a Popout of the player for your browsing convenience. And if you have suggestions for improvement, just send a note.
BTW, since I haven't had an opportunity to test the player in all browsers based on the method used by this forum to handle encoded script. So if anybody has browser specific problems, please advise. and I'll look into it shortly. For example, if using IE6 and all files don't load first time. Just refresh your browser once or twice. I'll check this out also.

I've created a YouTube Channel 'SusanJacksFans' with a player configured to play all videos assigned to a playlist entitled "Just Susan". This channel is intended to compile much of the available YouTube content to a single player and for the enjoyment of Susan's fans visiting the forum.
By adding or deleting videos assigned to the playlist, the player is automatically updated accordingly. If you wish to have videos included (or removed due to content), or changes made to the channel, please post a comment or send me a message.

Wow thanks Ted..great work,,a shrine for viewing Susan's music video compilation from u-tube. I'm computer challenged unfortunately. I admire what you're capable of doing and what other forum members like Jim66 and Ron etc. also are able to do to enhance our enjoyment of Susan's forum. Do I ever need lessons..is it too late to teach a old dog new tricks? hehe

Hey Susan, I haven't done anything with MySpace yet but I expect it wouldn't take much effort to determine the nuances. So if you need help, just rattle my chains... ;-) I hear it is quite customizable, but with limitations.
Yeah Chumbug, with so much content out there (in vayring degrees of quality), and an interest shown in YouTube videos lately, I thought it was time to compile them in a single player.
Maybe Susan would consider making the thread a "Sticky" so the player will always be in the first thread on the board for predictable access. I'll make this suggestion to her. |

I'm still abuzz from the Maple Ridge concert, by the way, which I'm sure is re-resonant as I write this since David Sinclair's "Acoustic Christmas" CD is playing in the background. Odd choice perhaps for this time of year, but crystalline Charistmas carols (not bad alliteration there) make the 30+ heat here in Abbotsford much less muggy :-)

Wow, this is fantastic. Thank you ted, this is wonderful. the sound is so good. I am sitting here friday 4.30pm (I know I should be working, but I've had a tough week :)) with my iMac and bose speakers connected and boy Susan sure comes to life. Wonderful, tks...
